Ok guys. I'm sorry to do this to you, but I need to blog about this. I read from Revelations 20. I copy and pasted it below with my interpretations and typical weird comments in parenthesis. I had to document this for my own reference. Please feel free to disregard this blog if you want :) lol But I thought it was enlightening to break it down. Note to Rob and Amy- Let's do dinner to discuss end times, since Rob is our resident end time expert and I'm on this weird end times kick. I just dont understand it, and I need to wrap my head around where I stand as far as end times and where my soul will be residing. I also feel that I will lead one of the armies of 144,000 so I am trying to get my troup ready :) lol.
Revelations 20
And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (this guy is on the good guys side- he has the gate to hell)
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (he defeated the devil, and the devil is powerless for a season of a thousand years. Note: God time or my time? Is this a thousand years as in "a day is as a thousand years" or an actual thousand years? Also, the devil is released after the 1000 years)
» more4 And I saw thrones (note: MULTIPLE thrones) , and they (who are they?) sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (the martyrs live and REIGN aka, RULE, with Christ for a thousand years. Note: I think "they" is the Martyrs.. Thank God they get rewarded for that)
5 But the rest of the dead (I think I am in this category) lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (is this me? Priest of God- or is this still refering to the Martyrs?)
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. (Number as the sand of the sea tells me most people, unfortuneately, arent saved)
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. (The Lord's people are untouchable! haha)
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (this is the final death of Satan, after the 1000 years - who is tormenting him? The sight of God and Heaven?)
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. (Jesus?)
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (second judgement... weird question, do the people in hell get a second judgement chance? JUST ASKING)
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (WORKS??? hmmm... Delivered UP, hmmm... All the dead are judged again)
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (ok - second death... ROB!)
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (So, regardless, if you werent in the book to begin with, ya aint gettin in now... lake of death for you...sorry...do not pass go, do not collect $200))
Ok.... I am now...still ...completely clueless, but my curiosity is sparked...

NICE BLOG
You need to see Thief in the Night circa 1972. Talk about FREAK-Y. Ok, I was like, 8 or 10 when I saw it and it's probably what scared me straight. Viewing party anyone?
DC Talk had a great song, "Left Behind" from the 90's.
AND-because we are like minded, I thought you would appreciate the following take on the rapture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapture
So when I got saved, Scott took me on a tour of Christian music, so I think I have that DC talk CD/ Song.
